Pat's
woos and Bill's hoodie
I
am a huge Colts fan so at the beginning of the season I had a hard
time feeling sorry for the New England Patriots. In fact, I might
have chuckled occasionally about their plight. I have to say though
after watching last nights debacle, it's just not that funny anymore.
It was sad to watch and left me with a lingering question.
Does
all of this have to do with Bill Belichick's hoodie?
I
seriously blame the sleeves. Sure, Bill looked like he had just
returned from a Hell's Angels biker rally but hey, it's who he is and
it was working for him. I fear by adding those sleeves the NFL has
made him into a big ol' softie. Actually, Trent Dilfer called them
“weak” and followed that up with.....They're just not a good team
anymore.” OUCH.
So,
I would like to ask the NFL for a favor. Can you please, please take
Bill's sleeves back? I feel him and his team have lost their edge
because of this. Seriously, Harbaugh gets to keep his khaki's which
frankly, make him look like he just left his day job as that State
Farm guy and Rob Ryan gets to keep his hair, although you might want
to tell him shampoo would be nice once in awhile. The above are kind
of like Forrest and Ginny, Rodman and that wedding dress, T.O. and
his sharpie, and peas and carrots. They just plain go together.
One
might ask.......Why do you care? Well, they are one of our greatest
rivalries. If they turn into another Raiders team we are going to
have to find someone else to channel all of that pent up inner rage.
We've already lost the Heat and I don't think our city could take
another blow this year. Beat The Heat was working wonderful for us.
Now it is more than likely going to be something like “Crush the
Cavs.” I guess it will grow on us. I feel like Houston and the
Titans have tried to step up but I just don't think we're feeling it.
Not yet anyway. So I urge the NFL once again. Take those sleeves back
and please do it before November 16th.
